Every Family Has a Story Worth Keeping
Life moves quickly.
Screens compete for our attention, schedules fill our calendars, and it's easy to let another day slip by without truly connecting.
Storykeepers’ was born from a simple belief: some of the most meaningful moments happen when families gather around a great story.
Through classic literature, hands-on activities, meaningful conversations, and shared adventures, we hope to help families cultivate character, wonder, and memories that last far beyond childhood.
Hi! I'm Christine...
When I'm not writing, you'll usually find me with my family, walking woodland trails, photographing God's creation, baking something cozy, or curled up with a good book and a cup of tea.
I fell in love with books early in my life. My sweet Father was in the Army, and we traveled a lot. I had the unique experience that he retired before I could get sick of travel. I’m not altogether sure I would have became sick of travel to be honest….. So when we landed in Wisconsin after retirement books were my home away from home. They let me travel back to Germany, explore Tennessee, dive into caves, and so much more all from my tree in my front yard. I also feel like literature shaped my character, through the experiences the characters in my books walked through. How they delt with heartbreak, success, temptation and large feelings all helped me cognitively walk through processes I wouldn’t personally have the chance of walking through yet.
Books became a sweet friend to me; my Dad was the one who primarily read to me when I was little, my Momma was the one who built my library and would come pull me away from my reading nook to experience real life. Often we discussed my most loved books while weeding the garden side-by-side, she encouraged me to write as she was a writer herself. That bloomed a new love of the reading journey - because it truly comes from both sides.
When I started Homeschooling years later my first zip of excitement was knowing the love of reading I could instill in my children; then came the puzzle of how to connect them. One of my children hated writing but loved reading, my other loved telling stories but was highly selective of the books he enjoyed, and my youngest hasn’t found many books she doesn’t love, and my does she love to write and create! What I learned even more over the last decade is that beyond curriculum, and trying to instill knowledge, that CONNECTION was our highest goal. Diving into books, discussing them, having real commentary about what they’d do differently in that situation, or even in writing that situation has helped our family grow in a way I never imagined.
That is what birthed Storykeepers’. The reality that stories don’t stay on shelves. They run through your veins, flow through your mind, and shine out of your heart into everything we do. So I explored how to break up each book into real life. Developting a stew from Rangers Apprentice (my son’s favorite series), learning how to keep food cool from The Boxcar Children, or discussing how hard it is to fight your own desires for the greater good from Lord of the Rings. Books have shaped us, we’ve adventured with them, and they easily have been a key part of not just school, but our lives.
I invite you to build lasting memories—not from the desire to have perfect homes or perfect routines, but because ordinary moments become extraordinary when shared together. We believe the goal isn't perfection—it's connection.
